Creativity has no boundaries.

These are my latest paintings, post ComiCon.  The Nyan Cat painting was inspired by watching a P!nk concert on Netflix. I was in a creative slump and needed something to pull me out, and somehow this came to mind. Maybe it's because of her audience. The same people who are into her music, and pay to see her in concert are the same people who enjoy watching the Nyan Cat YouTube video.  The creative world has no boundaries. Form doesn't have to have any function. It's why we have YouTube videos of cats flying through the air with the body of a pop-tart and a rainbow flying out of their butts.  Someone with imagination who puts their ideas out there drive curiosity. That's why that video had so many hits. It's why I choose to give my cats unicorn horns, or dragons red hair.

The Uni-Cat lives! Salt Lake City Comic Con Day 3

Another fun day for viewing costumes. I saw a lot of cute colorful My Little Pony and Unicorn costumes. Blue suits, with rainbow mane and tail. Some of the girls wore rainbow wigs. Also, a lot of fabulous Steam Punk costumes.  Those are one of my favorites.  It's been a good experience, and I feel blessed to have been a part of it.

Salt Lake Comi Con Day: 1

I saw some great costumes today. People can be really creative with cosplay. Especially the ones who go through the effort to come up with their own character. The best are the t-Shirts with the greatest quotes. I saw one that read something like: "If you have a few haters, you must be doing something right." That one was new to me. Another one said: "I'm about to do something awesome." I saw a lot of cool wigs. One guy had a shirt with an eyeball on this character's face that lit up and moved around. I was awesome. Below is a print I'm selling at my table. If you are in Salt Lake City, stop by and see my at table # I7.

Daily Sketch: Fish

Anytime I really want to draw something, but don't know what to draw, I draw fish. I like to draw fish in unusual form. I wish I could draw other things like this, but somehow, fish seem to make the cut. They're really easy. Maybe because they have no limbs? That's my blogpost for the day. Until next time, keep drawing...
